An Online Harm Notice triggers the duty of an administrator or online platform to address online harm. This is a pre-cursor to taking legal action against such administrators and online platforms.
An Online Harm Notice is:
not necessary for taking legal action against a communicator, or an administrator who intentionally or knowingly facilitates or permits online harms.
not necessary for making a report to the OSC.
