Duty to respond reasonably to an Online Harm Notice

Under OSRAA, online platforms have a duty to take reasonable steps to address the online harm upon receiving an Online Harm Notice. If the online platform fails to take reasonable steps, you may have a cause of action against the online platform in court.

As such, before you can commence legal proceedings against an online platform, you have to send the online platform an Online Harm Notice.
